The custom-molded shell is fitted from your own ear impression and connects via a wired cable to an IEM bodypack receiver (which clips to your belt, strap, or waistband). This setup is the industry standard for live performance, touring, studio sessions, and rehearsals where you need to hear yourself clearly and stay in sync with the band.

The custom earpiece (what Avery Sound creates) is the shell that goes in your ear—made from your own impression for a perfect fit. The wired cable and connectors allow you to plug into an IEM bodypack receiver, which picks up your wireless or wired mix from the sound system.

Once your order is received, Avery Sound ships an at-home impression kit. Follow the included instructions to make a custom impression of your ear, then mail the completed impression back using the postage-paid materials provided.

The lab creates a reverse casting from your impression and returns custom-molded earpieces guaranteed to fit your ears and work with your IEM bodypack receiver.
